REGULATIONS
OF BALTIC COUNTRIES CHAMPIONSHIP 2010
IN KETTLEBELL LIFTING
1. Objectives and tasks.
Strengthening of friendship between baltic nations and development of the international cooperation in the domain of sport;
Popularization of kettlebell lifting in Baltic countries;
Increasing sportsmanship, sharing experiences, revealing the strongest kettlebell lifters in different weight categories.
2. Dates and Location.
Location: Sport Hall “BABILONAS”, Klaipedos street 143a, Panevezhis, Lithuania
Date of competitions: June 19, 2010
Weighting and drawing: June, 19 at 1000-1100;
Beginning of competitions: June, 19 at 1200
3. Management of competitions.
Management of organization and carrying-out of competition is supervised by the Lithuanian Kettlebell Lifting Federation.
4. Participants.
In competitions national commands of Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania are participate.
Command must have a single sporting form with the symbolics of the country and flag.
4. Competitive disciplines, weight categories, sport equipment.
Men: Classical biathlon (Jerk + Snatch).
Women: Snatch.
Men: 63kg, 68kg, 73kg, 78kg, 85kg, 95kg, 105kg, +105kg;
Women: 68kg, +68kg;
Men: 24kg Kettlebells, 32kg Kettlebells (coefficient 2);
Women: 16kg Kettlebells.
The competition is managed according to Rules of the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting with amendments made on the day of competition.
A command relay race for men is conducted with KB 24kg (5 sportsmen for 3 minutes, total 15 minutes).
6. Calculation of results and awarding.
Jerk – 2 points;
Snatch – 1 point (score is calculated by sum of repetitions made with right and left hand);
Long cycle – 1 point;
Total score in biathlon is calculated by sum of points for jerk and snatch.
Total score in snatch for women is calculated as a sum of repetitions made with right and left hand.
In team classification points are calculated as followed: 1st place – 20 points; 2nd place – 18 points; 3rd place – 16 points; 4th place – 15 points and one point less for each following place.
1st – 3rd place holders in individual classification in each group and weight category are awarded with medals and diplomas;
1st – 3rd place holders in team classification are awarded with cups and diplomas.
In a command relay race the participants of commands, taking the 1st – 3rd places, are rewarded by diplomas and cups.
